Laser melting (metal 3D printing) system software
The Renishaw AM (additive manufacturing) system requires the use of commercially available file preparation software. Materialise or Marcam Autofab certification software is part of the Renishaw AM software package. These software packages allow users to import CAD files, fix file errors, apply tags, orient parts, and apply necessary support to limit the geometric dimensions of parts for machining. There are also some features that allow modification of process parameters and scanning methods, and saving the results in material files suitable for specific alloys and part geometries.
Both software packages are capable of outputting part manufacturing files in Renishaw format, each with its own advantages. They can be used as tools for batch production and workflow management in ERP solutions, or as process development tools to optimize part machining parameters.

AM250 Laser Melting (Metal 3D Printing) System
Regarding AM250
The AM250 has a vacuum chamber evacuation system filled with high-purity argon gas to create a high-quality air environment. Especially when using active materials such as titanium for manufacturing, the oxygen content must be as low as possible. The use of a fully enclosed welding vacuum chamber can minimize gas consumption and is sturdy and durable. The system can also manufacture non active materials in a nitrogen environment.
The AM250 has an external powder feeder with a valve interlock device that allows for the addition of materials to the system during operation. You can use a universal elevator to remove the powder feeder for cleaning or replace it when changing materials. The powder overflow collection container is located outside the vacuum chamber and has an isolation valve. It can filter unused materials during system operation and re feed them into the system through a powder feeder. Safely replace filters and handle system powders through glove operated boxes to minimize user contact with materials or radiation.
The AM250 is designed with a manufacturing focus in mind, featuring a convenient touchscreen user interface and a sturdy and durable structure. From mass production of implantable devices to the manufacture of complex lattice structures or various geometric shapes used in aerospace, AM250 can meet various requirements of manufacturing systems. It has an extended Z-axis option, so it can produce parts up to 360 mm.
All file and data preparation work is completed offline in the office, and the system is a strictly controlled processing unit. The file preparation software provides practical process development tools for high-end users.
